I wonder what Grandma would have thought of these!

I had some friends over last Fall for an aebelskiver party. This was the result of my joyous discovery that the sky is the limit when it comes to creativity with these little, round Danish pancakes. I grew up eating the basic variety and dipping them in piles of sugar with each bite, also a fabulous way to sample them! But why not make a chocolate batter and throw in some malted milk balls, white chocolate chips, Snickers, Heath bars, or whatever else you have in your pantry? Also, regarding the name of my blog, I want to give a shout out to my nephew Jacob who, years ago, woke up my parents and said "Wake up you sleepy heads. Don't you know it's light outside?" Here's to Jacob and here's to mornings! I'm learning that, if done well, mornings can be one of the nicest times of day.
